Help Me Trust When My Loved One is Late

Heavenly Father,  I'm worried.  Where is my dear one?  Why have they not returned home or even phoned?  They are never, ever late, Lord.  Is everything all right?  Are they safe?  Quiet my fears, God.  I'm concerned  there has been an accident.  

Help me know how to pray right now.  Surround and protect my loved one this moment.  Keep them out of harm's way.  Customize your help to my loved one.  Provide help if the car is stuck beside the road.  Send someone safe to meet their every need, even to change a tire.  You are with us at all times.  Be in this situation as counselor and instructor.  Whatever the problem might be Lord, I'm believing you will solve it.

God, quiet my pounding heart, my wild imagination.  Remind my loved one to call home on the cell phone.  Or have someone else make a call if their phone isn't working.  Bring my loved one home safely, Lord.  I'm counting on your protection and care.
