A Prayer for People Dragged into Court

Dear heavenly Father,  adversaries drag innocent people into court, confusing them and filling them with vague uneasiness, guilt, and fear.  They worry they may lose the case, and the authorities could take everything they own. They wonder how they will pay attorneys.

Remove fears about finances, Lord.  Show them you will provide for them.  Show them they need fell no guilt, God.  Help them fight resentment and anger because they think they have been treated unfairly.  Help them turn it over to you, God, forgiving anyone who has wronged them.

Give them wise, air judges, lord, and hold all witnesses to strict honesty.  Grant them courage to speak truthfully if they are called to testify.  When they open their mouths, let your words come out just as you promised.  Supply faith for them to trust you completely.  Fill them with confidence that no matter what happens, they are in your hands and you always work everything out for good.  Then grant them justice.  We ask this in Jesus' name.
