Prayers . . . on living successfully

PRAYER WHEN I AM EXHAUSTED

LORD, I am so tired.  I feel that I have given all I have to give, and I am completely empty.  Please restore my energy, my hope, and my enthusiasm.  Take my discouragement and fling it far from me.  Help me to remember that I work for you and that you will reward me if I persevere.

Thank you that you do not tire as I do, and your reservoir of love is never depleted.  Please let your compassion, kindness, and joy flow into me.  Refresh me as I spend these quiet moments in prayer with you.  Help me to borrow from your strength now -- I feel sapped of the ability to do anything for anyone.  Fill up my heart with goodness so that it can once again overflow to others.  I thank you for carrying me through this time of weariness.  I ask this in the name of your Son Jesus.
