"The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me;

because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings

unto the meek;

he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,

to proclaim liberty to the captives,

and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;

to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,

and the day of vengeance of our God;

to comfort all that mourn;

to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion,

to give unto them beauty for ashes,

the oil of joy for mourning,

the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;

that they might be called trees of righteousness,

the planting of the Lord,

that he might be glorified"

Isaiah 61:1-3

Lord, Your Spirit is upon me.  You have anointed me and qualified me to be Your representative on the earth today.  You have put Your ove4rflowing joy in my heart.  You have sent me into the world to bind up and heal the brokenhearted.  You have sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives--those in both physical an spiritual prisons.  You have sent me to preach Your Gospel and to be Your ambassador to the world.

Lord, You are the great Redeemer.  You have redeemed my life from destruction.  You have restored my soul, and You have forgiven me of my past failures. You have given me a new lease on life.  You are an awesome God.  I praise and exalt You.

Father, You have given me beauty for ashes.  You have replaced my mourning with the oil of joy.  You have taken away my heavy burden and granted me a garment of praise instead.  You have taken the shame of my past and given me a blessing.

You, Lord, have restored me.  You have given me a new hope, a new glimpse of glory.  I thank You, Lord, for Your anointing on my life so that I might serve You with gladness.

In Jesus' name I pray,

Amen

"Who redeemeth thy life from destruction;

who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies."

Psalm 103:4
