Stress

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."

1 Peter 5:7

Father, in the name of Jesus, I resist the stress that is in my life.  I know that stress is harmful.  I know that it is not Your will for me to be frustrated or fearful in anything.  Lord, You said to cast all my cares over on You.  Lord, I cast all my cares, all my anxieties, all my worry, and all my stress over on You.  I receive Your peace in exchange.

Lord, help me to not worry.  Help me, Lord, to not let circumstances or the frustration of daily living bring stress into my life or steal from me the joy You have placed within my heart.  I know, Lord, that it is Your desire that I not be anxious, worried, or fretful over anything.  I refuse to  let stress dominate y life, and I thank You, Lord, that I am able to rise above the feeling of stress by the power of Your Holy Spirit in me.

You have promised in Your Word that You would give us peace that passes all understanding and that You would give us joy in the middle of problem, tests, and trials.  I thank You for that joy and peace in my life.  I refuse to live a life full of stress.  Help me to focus on You and Your promises and not let stress affect or dominate my life.

Help me, Lord, to have patience in every situation, knowing that You are taking care of me, that You are working things out, and that I don't have to carry the anxiety, fear, or concern.  I don't have to let stress be a destructive force in my life.  I choose to walk peaceably, calmly, and confidently before You, knowing that You will provide all that I need.  Through my union with You, I can live a stress-free life.

 Amen.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything,

by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,

present your requests to God".

Philippians 4:6

"And the peace of God,

which transcends all understanding,

will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."

Philippians 4:7
