Strong in the Lord

"Put on the whole armor of God

that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."

(Ephesians 6:11)

Dear Father God, in Jesus' name I proclaim that I am strong in You.  I am empowered through my union with You.  I draw strength from You for every battle that i face.  I put on Your whole armor today, and in doing so I put myself in a position to successfully stand against all the strategies, deceits, and attacks of Satan and the forces of darkness.

I recognize that I wrestle not against flesh and blood, that humans are not my enemy.  I will not direct my attack toward any person.  My opponents are principalities, powers, and the rulers of the darkness of the world.  Satan is a defeated foe, and he is under my feet.  I resist him steadfast in faith, and he runs in terror when I speak Your Word.

Because of our armor, Lord, I am able to resist every attack, stand my ground, and be victorious in the day of conflict.  When crisis comes to my life, I am bold to fight and to proclaim Your Word.  Standing upon Your promises in the midst of the battle, I know that ultimate victory is certain in You.

Lord, I thank You that You cause me to triumph in every situation through Christ Jesus my Savior.

Amen

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,

but against principalities, against powers,

against the rulers of the darkness of this world,

against spiritual wickedness in high places."

Ephesians 6:12
