"Ashamed"
"When I the
Messiah, come in my glory and in the glory of my Father and the Holy
Angels,
I will be ashamed then of all who are
ashamed of Me and My words now"
Luke 9:26
Dear Heavenly Father,
I read today where a man down in LA has
formed a group called the "Committee to save Christmas". His reason is
that although all the stores that reap such generous profits from the
biggest holiday season of the year, they are refusing to give the birth
of Jesus the recognition. While growing up in this country over fifty
years ago I don't think it ever crossed my mind that we would ever come
to this.
Oh God forgive us here in America for not
standing strong to the beliefs that made our country strong and the
best. I pray that the young people of today rise up again in rebellion
against these very things. What made us a strong country is because we
had You as our provider and protector. We called on You to "deliver us
from evil". Now we seem to think it was the atomic bomb and our
military strength. We have forgotten that it was You the soldiers
called out to when the odds were against them and You gave us victory!
Lord wake us from our sleep, deliver us
from the notion of being "politically correct" and give us back the
belief of being.
ONE NATION UNDER GOD!
Let us proclaim Your name as our
deliverer, provider, and helper in our troubled Nation and not be
ashamed of You!
