"Adversity and Affliction"
Dear Lord,
Your word tells that You
will send to Your people the bread of adversity and the water of
affliction. It seems so strange to think about it as we consider bread
and water as the very most basics for food. Yet, You say even those
things that You send will come against us? But then the next part of
the verse tells that You will be with us. What a promise! Even if you
allow or send tough times You will be here to help us, to teach and
guide us through them. Teach me today to "learn from the lessons" You
give me. To grow and be successful because You are with me. Let me
learn and apply them all to my life so that I may prosper.
In Jesus Name I ask You,

"Though He gives you the bread of adversity and the water of
affliction, yet He will be with you to teach you,
with your own eyes you will see your teacher"
Isaiah 30:20
