"Controlled by the Old Man"
Dear Lord,
I read today where a man in Wisconsin who
had been hit by a train and paralyzed in 1989 was hit again this week
but only left with minor scrapes and bruises. It seems that ever since
that time he has spent his life recovering from his accident in a wheel
chair and his "hobby" has been sitting as close as he can get next to
the train tracks and making obscene gestures at the trains when they
pass by. While performing one of these stunts Tuesday he was hit again.
Lord it is so good to know that when You
come into our lives we don't have to follow our old nature anymore. We
are changed and become new.
Once we have said yes to You we want to
be different, we want to be like You, we want the peace and "life" that
You can bring.
I pray for not only this man but for all
those who today are angry at life's cruel ways, who can not get over
their past. Help them Lord, let them come to know You like I do.
In Jesus Name I ask You,

themselves be controlled by their lower natures live only to please
themselves,
but those who follow
after the Holy Spirit find themselves doing the things that please God"
