GOD, LIFT THOSE IN DEPRESSION
Help them, God. They cry to you from
a dark place. Everything is blackness, heaviness, sadness.
The joy in life is gone, hope for the future is gone. They are immobilized day after day, unable to move, to work, to function; unable to care for family or self.
Please, Lord? Come and rescue
them. They cannot help themselves. They cannot even pray or hear your voice. Lift
them out of this deep pit. They have tried to find the way out.
They have tried to cry their way out, to scream a way out.
They are exhausted. Unless you help help, they ill sink deeper
in depression, especially at this time of year.
If this testing place is from you, Lord, teach
them what it is you would have them learn. Cover them with your mercy and your grace. Help
them, Father. Provide the right solution to their suffocating sorrow.
Send your answer, Lord. Take
them by my right hand and pull them to freedom. Restore their
lives. Please meet their needs.
