"His Family"
Dear Lord,
In the news today was a story about a
father and son in West Virginia. The family had got together for a
dinner and the two of them began to argue about the best way to prepare
skinless chicken for the meal. Things escalated as it became a physical
confrontation and then erupted into a gunfight. They each took a shot
at each other with a couple of pistols and the son ended up in the
hospital with a bullet passing through his ear lobe and lodged in his
head!
God it is so good to know that is not the
way You designed the family. Our family one of these days will not be
filled with anger and hate. In the meantime, please help us Lord to
learn to live together, play together, learn together, love each other.
Help us to call on Your name and seek Your will in every confrontation
within "our family". We know they will come, it's part of living here
on this earth, but give us wisdom and understanding in how to deal with
each situation we face.
In Jesus Name I ask You,
