"Humility and
Trust"
Dear God,
How often we let our pride get in the way
of receiving the gifts You choose to give us. We can easily overvalue
ourselves and thereby undervalue others. We can become restless
and not satisfied with what we have. We notice others when they are
doing well and concerned about what they have. We find ourselves hungering for more
attention.
Lord teach us, and help us to be more humble and allow us to
find contentment in You. With that contentment we no longer need to
"prove" ourselves to others. Lord, fill us with humility and
trust so that we can prosper in the "real things" of this world.
In Jesus name I pray,
