I have read it so many
times, seen it written somewhere on a sign at almost every sporting
event I watch. It's been written as graffiti on downtown walls, that
simple little verse that we all can recite but we all need to take the
time today to read it again.
This day, this time with interest, with
understanding, I ask you to help me realize that the entire
gospel comes into focus in this verse. It teaches us that elusive meaning
that so many chase ... "What real love is". Oh Father help me to
learn that in this verse You set the pattern, love is not static, not
self centered, but it reaches out to others and draws them in. It in
turn changes our lives and we are never the same again.
