"John the Baptist"
Lord Jesus,
I know that we all fall short of doing
what You really want us to do, of being what You really want us to be.
I was thinking of John who called out to those he preached and told
them stop just saying the right words or trying to do the right things.
He like You, called upon them to change their lives. Lord I know You
look way beyond the words we say, or the activities we are involved in
and look at our hearts. You did not say that God loves a giver, but
that God loves a cheerful giver. Its our attitude, not the action
itself. Help me today God to not just go through the motions but to do
everything I do with my whole heart, keeping You first in my thoughts
and the reason I live is to please You and do Your will!

by as you are, thinking,
" We are safe for we are Jews- descendents of
Abraham. That proves nothing.
God can change
even these stones here into Jews!
