Father God,

Yesterday we read Your Word and listened to Your messenger as he taught.  Today help us to apply what was taught to our lives.

Help us to realize that Your Word is holy, inspired, and trustworthy.  Your word is a standard for our lives, and a way for us to measure how we are doing.

It gives us a safeguard against the false teachings we receive each day from the world.

Thank You Lord for Your Word, given as a cookbook for our lives, that we can live in peace, love and harmony with You and each other.  All we have to do is read it, absorb it, and apply it to everything we do. It's all there in black and white and red!

I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that

you may know the hope to which He has called you,

and His incomparably great power for us who believe.
