Father God,
Today we come to you asking as always for Your
help with the world and place we live. All around us are false teachers. Those
filled with their own desires and motivated by greed, power and wanting nothing
more than to be noticed or make a name for themselves.
Most of them demanding allegiance, wanting us to
turn and follow their ways. Sometimes it is just like being back in grade
school.
How are we to know what the real issues are? How
can we be sure that we are right?
I heard a preacher one time tell a story that
when they train those people who are counterfeit money professionals, they have
them study what real money looks like over and over and over. That way when the
fake comes along, they spot it right away!
God help us today to study and learn and seek out
your voice in our lives. Help us to become so familiar with You and Your ways
that when the counterfeit comes along we will spot it without any trouble.
