"History Lesson"
Father God,
I was reading this morning about
when Jesus was born. Herod was the King and how he plotted to have Christ
killed. Most all of us know the story, Joseph was warned in a dream by an Angel
to flee the country with Jesus and Mary to save the child's life. I got to
thinking how strange it is for the people who were in power to actually believe
the could turn the course of history. Then I thought today Lord it is still no
different, our judicial system thinks that they have been successful keeping
prayer out of our schools, the ten commandments off of public property and are
working on other things of the same nature. Oh when will we learn? Lord teach
us that great power brings neither peace nor security. Teach us that no one can
keep Your plans from being carried out, You will have Your way!
